Today I spent the day in London. When I first got off the train I walked over and wondered my way through Hyde park on my way to one of the museums. While passing through I found….
The Diana, Princess of Wales Memorial Fountain

The Isis Statue, goddess of nature

 the Serpentine Pavilion

 The Albert Memorial

And the Royal Geographical Society & Kensington Gore
Then I reached the Victoria & Albert Museum. I could have spent days looking through there but I had looked it up predetermine which exhibit to do today. I decided on the fashion exhibit that showed many different clothing pieces ranging from the 1700s to the 2000s.

 ladies gazette 1859

crinoline 1860-65

evening dress Lucile (one of the earliest international labels) 1912

 four fashion plates about 1845

 court mantua 1755-60

After a quick hop on the tubes to get to the next part of town. I walked the North Bank and up to Buckingham Palace and back down.

 Victoria Embankment Gardens

  Cleopatra’s Needle

  London Eye

 Tower of London

 Houses of Parliament

  Supreme Court

 Buckingham Palace

  Queen Victoria Memorial

  Westminster Chapel

 Westminster Abbey

 St. Margaret’s Church

  London Underground

  Royal Opera House

My final stop on my tour of London was at the London Film museum, where they happen to have a featured Bond Exhibit at the moment.

After I met up with Roberta and, after a glass of strawberry beer, we walked around Greenwich Village a bit on our way to pick up supper.

 The Royal Naval College

Tomorrow it’s off to Prague for a couple days!
