Haydee, Caro, Danaé, and I managed to get a day off midweek, so we rented a car and took a day trip!
First we made a stop in Aix-en-Provence for lunch and to wander around a bit.
Next stop was a visit to the Lavender Fields. We came to visit just in time because it is the very end of the season for them, so many fields were already harvested.
We were only a half hour drive away so we jogged over to visit Gorge de Verdon. It is a great big lake in a big valley, with a huge gorge at one end. I would love to go back on a day when we think to bring our swimsuits along 
On the way home we made a pit stop in Draguignan, but it was after 7pm so nearly everything was closed for the day. However, we did find a cool wall of poetry outside a school in town and Haydee and Caro chased Pokémon.
