Weekend trip to Monaco

Man I love my life! Haha how many people can say they took a weekend trip to Monaco just because they felt like it?!

But I’m jumping ahead…

Wednesday after Andreas ‘cooked’ dinner for the family

I met up with Ira and Haydee and we went out for Anna’s last night out, except Anna didn’t show up because she had already been day drinking and was out with some other people she knew… Not a problem though we found some other of Haydee’s friends.

Also, we found out in the morning, that whilst Anna was out with other people she fell and managed to brake her nose and two of her front teeth…not sure how she managed that…

Friday Ira and Hayder came to my place and we hung out at my pool. We also did a photo shoot just for fun 😉

That night we went out because it was Ira’s (and anothet girl’s) last night. Ira also achieved her goals of meeting someone who is actually from St. Tropez and of kissing a French guy lol.

She also became an entertaining drunk that could barely walk, and ended up needing me to guide her to my car. This proved a small challenge as she was quite tipsy, is pretty tall and my feet were already killing me from my heels, forcing me to walk delicately to begin with. But we made it!

Ok now back to the weekend in Monaco…Saturday afternoon when Haydee got off work we jumped in the car and hit the road. We stopped in Cannes along the way because Haydee wanted to check a store for a watch and to see where the Film Festival is held.

We then continued on to Monaco where we met up with Haydee’s friend Alex. He took us for dinner then gave us a small tour of Monaco.  Afterwards we went to Nice to stay the night in a hostel as there are none in Monaco.

The next morning in the midst of a heavy downpour we got up and drove back into Monaco to look around some more. Because it was a Sunday in September and it was rainy there was literally no one in Monaco. We got pictures in front of Monte Carlo without a single person interrupting the photo.

We even got to go inside and take photos of the casino while it was empty.

We also walked up to the palace in time to see the changing of the guard.

After meeting up with Alex for lunch we drove back to Nice to do some wondering and shopping before heading home.

In Nice Haydee also FINALLY found her watch. Not the same one she had been looking for, but one she liked none the less :)

All in all it was a good, if rainy, weekend road trip.
